LANCER YOUTH FLAG FOOTBALL Grades 1-6 La Crescent-Hokah Community Education and FIVE7 are excited to announce that we are bringing back Lancer Youth Flag Football as a community effort led by FIVE7 and Lancer Football Coaches and Players. We are going to get more and more footballs into the hands of our community's youth, give them a positive outlet, get their bodies moving, and teach them how to enjoy one of the greatest team sports in the world! Our youth flag football season will run on Wednesdays, from September 8th to October 13th, so they will get to enjoy a significant amount of football time this fall to learn some skills and get to compete in some friendly competitions. The first two weeks will be skill work and practice, led by the Lancer football staff, and the last 4 weeks we will be playing some games against one another. Practices and games: Wednesdays, September 8 to October 13, from 5 pm - 6 pm. Meet on the MS/HS FOOTBALL PRACTICE FIELD. It's also our goal to get each kid a chance to play at halftime of a home varsity football game under the “FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS”! Help us spread the word by sharing this post! Let's fill those stands on Friday nights and cheer on all of Lancer Football! $60 Register by calling La Crescent-Hokah Community Education at 507-895-5150 or online at https://lcps.cr3.rschooltoday.com/.../-1/keyword/foot/

Come out to Culver's on Mormon Coulee Road in La Crosse, WI, next Tuesday June 22 from 5-7 PM to help out one of our own Lancer families. 10% of all sales during this time will be donated to Schroeder-Peterson family. Culver's is open for dine in and drive thru. Noah Schroeder is a middle school student here in La Crescent. His mother Lauren Peterson has worked for the La Crescent Hokah School District for many years. Noah just completed his 7th round of Chemo at Mayo in Rochester. When Noah has Chemo treatments his parents and younger brother stay in a hotel across the street so they can be close to him. He was in the hospital for 20+ days for this last round of Chemo and recovery. The money raised at this event will help the family with transportation expenses to and from Rochester, medical expenses and other bills they have accumulated. Thanks for your support!!!!
PSA: It’s time to think about Sports Physicals. At Mayo Clinic, we love seeing all of the students/athletes to make sure they are ready for sports and that they are up to date on everything they need to stay healthy. We have some dates/times set aside specifically for students but we will always work with families to schedule a time that works for them. Feel free to share the attached flyer with families and remind them that it’s not too early to be thinking about scheduling an appointment.
