Happy Monday! I'm proud to announce this week's High School Bucket Filler. This student was recognized by our staff as someone who frequently goes out of her way to include others and help them feel welcomed within our school. This is especially true for any new students. This week's winner is Hadley Hammell! Congratulations Hadley, and thank you for being a great example of the Lancer Way!

We’d like to share information about an upcoming community event from our friends at Bluff Country Family Resources. The event is designed to support parents, caregivers, and educators in having important conversations with kids about consent, boundaries, and online safety.
The Elementary welcomed Minnesota native, author, DAWN QUIGLEY to share stories of friendship, unity, and kindness to all our students today!

Great news, Lancer families! Our La Crescent-Hokah Elementary PTO has been selected as a finalist for the Altra Best Life Community Award! 💚 This award celebrates organizations that make a difference in their community, and your votes could help us win funding to bring even more opportunities to our students! If we’re selected, we could: 📚 Add a book vending machine where students can earn coins for showing positive behavior and choose a book to keep 🥕 Expand our Grow garden and connect kids to hands-on learning about healthy food 🎨 Bring in local artists and community members to inspire students with new skills and creativity 🎒 Support weekend backpack meals for kids who need a little extra help 🌳 Upgrade our playground surface to a softer, safer material that’s usable in all weather Every vote counts, and your support helps us keep doing what we love - helping every child learn, grow, and thrive. 👉 Vote for La Crescent-Hokah Elementary PTO here: https://woobox.com/mpwkjy Thank you for always believing in our kids and our school! 💚

🚑 MERT – Our Medical Emergency Response Team 🚑
Safety is our top priority, and that includes being ready to respond if a medical emergency happens at school.
Our Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT) is made up of specially trained staff members in each building who are prepared to act quickly, give life-saving care, and coordinate with first responders until help arrives.
This week, our team completed specialized training to refresh and sharpen our skills — because when seconds matter, preparation makes all the difference.
We hope we never have to use these skills, but if we do, you can be confident your children are in caring, capable hands.
