Welcome, Amber Clark!
Amber Clark has joined La Crescent-Hokah Elementary School as an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher. She will work with the preschool team to help provide early intervention services for 3–5-year-olds. She will also provide Birth-to-Three early intervention services for our district's youngest learners. Amber has a degree in Early Childhood Special Education (Birth through age 6) from Winona State University. Amber has almost a decade of experience working with young children and their families. Amber has spent the past nine years teaching in Wisconsin. She is excited to be back in Minnesota and working closer to home.
Amber is originally from the area and lives in La Crescent with her husband, three young children, and their chocolate lab. Amber and her family are very active and love almost any activity that gets them outside. They love going out on the pontoon, kayaking, hiking, swimming, etc. Amber believes that all children can learn. She prides herself in building strong relationships with the families she works with to instill confidence in parents, as parents are a child's first teacher and foster curiosity and a love of learning in our youngest learners.
"Every child has a different learning style and pace. Each child is unique, not only capable of learning but also capable of succeeding." – Robert John Meehan.
