Welcome, Marina de Zeeuw!
Meet Marina de Zeeuw, a new Special Education teacher at La Crescent-Hokah Elementary School. She has a degree in Special Education- Academic and Behavioral Strategist from Winona State University. This will be her 4th year as a teacher. She previously worked in Rochester, MN at 2 different Elementary schools, Riverside and Folwell. Marina grew up in La Crescent and is excited to be able to work in the community she was raised in. She lives with her husband, Brandon and their 2-year-old daughter, Eleanor. A quote that inspires her to continue her work in education is “Every student can learn, just not on the same day or in the same way.” Marina continues to be motivated by the students she works with because many of them have to work harder to learn and grow in their social and academic skills.
