I teach Special Education grades K-4 in the elementary school. Direct Instruction in math and reading is my goal. Social Skills are also an important part of the curriculum. I have taught in the La Crescent Public School system since 2005. I taught Special Education in the Middle School and High School for eleven years. Before that, I taught at Crucifixion Elementary School for fifteen years and also Lewiston. I grew up in Caledonia, MN in a family of six children. I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Kindergarten-sixth grade elementary from Winona State University. I earned my Master's Degree in Special Education grades K-12 from the University of Wisconsin LaCrosse. I recently received certification in Autism through the State of Minnesota. I live with my husband, Greg, in La Crescent. We have three grown children. Abigayle fights wildfires in the US, Tim works for a Laboratory in Minneapolis, and Brandon works for my husband at Wieser Precast in Stewartville, MN. Brandon and his wife are expecting our first grandchild in February. So exciting!! My husband and I like to camp, boat, fish, and golf.
