I teach reading interventions and strategies to students in grades 2 through 4.  I also work with students needing behavioral supports, interventions, and strategies.  I am the Internal Coach for our Elementary School's two Minnesota Reading Corps tutors.

From 1997 through 2001, I was the La Crescent-Hokah High School teacher for students with emotional/behavioral disorders and/or specific learning disabilities.  I returned to the Middle School in 2007 to be the Middle School teacher for students with emotional/behavioral disorders.  I have also been the lead teacher for the Middle School Bluff Country Learning Center.  I began my work as the reading and behavioral interventionist at the Elementary School in 2014. I am passionate about reading and helping students to be the very best readers of which they are capable.

I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a B.S. in Spanish Education and Political Science.  I completed my Master's Degree in Education from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in the areas of Emotional/Behavioral Disorders and Specific Learning Disabilities.  I have had the privilege of teaching in a variety of setting including Adult Basic Education, GED preparation, CESA #4, Alternative Educational settings, rural school district settings, and private school settings.

Currently, I live in La Crosse with my Scottish Terrier, Fiona.  I have three adult children and two granddaughters  who are the lights of my life.
