I earned my undergraduate degree, a BA in Art Education PreK-12, at Viterbo University. I stayed local for my Masters in Education and Professional Development through UWL's Professional Development Learning Community program. I've been part of the La Crescent School community for more than 20 years. I spent the first 15 years primarily in the Middle School before transitioning to the High School as my primary teaching placement. In the classroom I try to help each student develop a love for visual arts either as a creator or a connoisseur. Outside the classroom room I challenge small groups to create murals throughout the building and exhibit artwork in local shows. It's also my pleasure to serve with my colleagues in professional capacities on committees and other teams as working towards the common goal of improving student achievement. When I'm not in the classroom I enjoy spending time with my husband, Bob, and my children Joel and Lily. I'm an avid gardener, cook, and home canner. Obviously a variety of creative endeavours also consume my time!
